Tomorrow's Warriors is a leading organisation for high quality music education and artist development for young people. We specialise in jazz, and jazz-crossover with hip hop, rap, RnB, reggae/ska. Our sister company, Dune Music incorporates the world class, award-wining independent jazz label, Dune Records.

Tomorrow's Warriors develops inspirational, high quality educational workshops and performances for schools and community groups - in the UK and internationally - led by a roster of world class, essentially young, Black artists.

Cultural diversity, equality of opportunity and quality are at the heart of our organisation and much of our work focuses on educating, inspiring and motivating our young people, providing access to positive role models. We also provide ongoing development for those who wish to pursue music as a professional career, offering 'professional music apprenticeships' within a nurturing, supportive professional environment.

Resources provided Educational resource packs with reference material (music, lyrics, CDs, articles, tips) and recommendations for further reading/listening.
Resources required Very much depends on the nature of the workshops.
Fees Variable - our work is tailored to meet the specific needs and desired outcomes of the client.
Insurance Artists registered with the organisation are insured.
CRB Disclosure

All personnel (and freelancers/artists) within the organisation who work directly with children and young people have had either a Standard or Enhanced Disclosure check within the last three years and can provide evidence of this on request.

CRB checks DO NOT relieve you from your child protection responsibilities and duty of care towards children and young people.

A criminal record shown on a disclosure does not prevent an artist appearing in the Directory, unless it is a schedule One offence under the Children and Young Person’s Act 1933. It is your responsibility to make adequate checks before employing LONSAS Associates and to implement a sufficient child protection policy. Click here for further information.

Tomorrow's Warriors has undertaken several educational projects throughout its 15 years in existence. Our work is vast and varied and, in conjunction with our sister company, Dune Music, we have immense experience in the professional music sector, including international performances and touring, new music commissions, commercial recording and music publishing.

Project 1

In April and September 2005, Educational workshop residencies lasting 4-5 days for Devon Music Service involving (a) "Beats 'n' Blues" (introduction to Jazz) and (b)"Jamaicanizing Jazz" (mixing jazz/Jamaican music) for school children at Key Stage 2 as well as Teacher Insets, with public concerts by the leading artists' own bands at the end of the residency.

Project 2

April 2006 - for Banlieues Bleues, Paris (a festival organisation with major education and outreach programme to bring music to disadvantaged young people in the suburbs of Paris). A workshop residency, working with a group of 160 young people, running over three months involving repertoire development and performances for school and community choirs, big bands and poetry/rap groups.

Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon

Inspiring and professional. The workshops went really well. Without exception, everyone felt that they learnt a great deal from the two days:  in terms of theory, background of jazz, different styles, how to play, and they have all become more enthused generally.  Some have joined local jazz bands and some are pursuing the possibility of more involvement in jazz. Soweto had a great rapport with the students and got the best out of them all.

Chiswick Community School

We thought the workshop was excellent. I was pleased at how seriously the musicians took the performance and the audience was very engrossed throughout the gig. Abram was very organised, punctual and made the whole session run very smoothly. The choice of music was good and the performance was exactly the right sort of length. The workshop was also good. Both musicians related well to the students and coped with anything that came at them very well. We would definitely organise something with you again maybe next year. Thank you and please pass on my thanks to everyone involved.
