Improving your children's singing at KS2
OK, so now your class / school is singing. That’s great but how well
are they singing? Do you feel there is room for improvement but you are
not quite sure how to go about it or what to listen out for? Do you
need some practical tips and advice on what to do next? If so, then
this two-day course is just what you need!
Through practical engagement and group discussion these two-day
sessions will help anyone leading singing/vocal activities at KS2 to
understand how to develop and improve the quality of children’s singing.
The course aims to support you in:
- understanding and teaching aspects of vocal technique, vocal production and presentation;
- developing children’s own critical and reflective skills as well as their musical understanding and experience;
developing your vocal leadership skills;
- selecting appropriate vocal repertoire and developing expectations for your children’s singing.
Please note: This is the first of 2 ‘Singing With Quality’ training
days. The second day is on 12 March. Although this two-day course
builds on experiences and material introduced in the first day, each
training day will be self-standing and participants will be welcome to
join one or both.
